Fimvo examines attitudes towards falsified medicines

Falsified medicinal products are a dangerous phenomenon and a form of crime that periodically comes into the public spotlight.

But how aware are Finns of the existence of falsified medicines? Do they recognize the risks when making purchases from shady websites? How many know that licensed pharmacies operate within a Europe-wide medicines verification system that effectively prevents falsified products from reaching consumers?

Finns’ knowledge and attitudes towards falsified medicines are being studied in research commissioned by Fimvo. The consumer survey, conducted by Taloustutkimus, is currently underway. The results will be published shortly – stay tuned!
