The Medicines Verification System is actively used by the key stakeholders in Finland’s pharmaceutical supply chain. Pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, wholesalers, and pharmaceutical companies serve as critical gatekeepers—ensuring that only genuine medicines reach patients.
In Finland, the system is operated by Suomen Lääkevarmennus Oy (Fimvo). Through close collaboration among user groups and a vigilant, safety-first approach, Fimvo contributes to the integrity of the pharmaceutical supply chain.
