Change of Medicines Verification System: New alert handling guidelines published (REST API / SOAP API) – effective from 19.11.

The change of the Finnish Medicines Verification System on 18.11.2023 comes with new and updated alert handling guidelines. Separate alert handling guidelines have been created for both interfaces (REST API / SOAP API) and they are available in Finnish, Swedish and English. The new alert handling guidelines are effective from 19.11.2023 onwards.

If the new direct interface (REST API) of the Medicines Verification System is in use after 18.11.2023, the verification system will return new alert and return codes. In this case, help in handling alerts can be found in the following guideline:

If a temporary interface (SOAP API) is in use after 18.11.2023, the verification system will still return the current alert and return codes. In this case, help in handling alerts can be found in the following guideline:

Note. The description provided by the end user software may differ from the description provided by FiMVS. This, and which interface (REST API or SOAP API) will be in use from 18.11.2023, should be verified with your own IT supplier if necessary.
